Alex Zhang- Head of Mental Health Team
a junior at Francis Howell High School, is into his second year at AACS. He is very passionate about getting the word out on mental health awareness within the AAPI community and does so as a head of the Mental Health Initiative. Outside of AACS, he enjoys all things cars, listening to music, running track, and wrestling.
Carissa Choi- Head of Social Media Team

Emily Chien, junior, has been a part of AACS for two years. She is passionate about representing Asian Americans through literature and media; she does so through her role in the May Book Project and the Social Media Team. Outside of AACS, Emily loves writing poetry, doing journalism, watercolor painting, and cooking new Asian dishes.

Dr. Min Liu is a professor at SIUE and lives in St. Louis.  She has been an active member of the St. Louis AAPI community for 10+ years.  She began working with AAPI high school students in 2017 and together they started the AACS group.  In her role as the faculty advisor for AACS, she sees herself as a facilitator, a liaison, a cheerleader, and an advocate.  She firmly believes that there is no better investment than time and resources invested in our youth.
